Miracle Stories

Janeway Miracle Children

Every year, every month and every day there are dozens of remarkable stories of hope, courage, and miracles that arise from within the walls of this hospital.  The Janeway is more than a building with bricks and mortar.  The Janeway is a family and it’s a place where miracles really do happen.  We are happy to introduce you to some of our Janeway Miracles.

Cameron arrived unexpectedly in the bathroom of the family home, six weeks premature and weighing only three pounds 11 ounces.  Serious complications developed as a result of his early appearance.  Now nearly three year old Cameron's prognosis is very good.

Tyler and Taran Park have many things in common; aside from being brothers of course, they were both treated at the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre.

With a smile that could light up a room 20 month old Ashlee Adams, beautiful and thriving, is a joy to her family.

Over the past 20 months the hole in Ashlee’s heart has grown to eight millimeters, if this growth continues or if the hole does not close on its own she will have to undergo heart surgery. Cardiologist, Dr. Shah continues to monitor her condition.
