About The Foundation

The Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation is a registered Canadian charitable organization created to raise funds to benefit the health care of Newfoundland and Labrador's most precious resource - our children.

The overwhelming support received from you, our donors, enables the Foundation to support our province’s only pediatric hospital, The Janeway Children’s Health & Rehabilitation Centre, and to invest in the health care of our children - from the unborn infant to children up to 18 years of age. Through the Foundation your donations have contributed to the purchase of the latest in modern medical equipment; the continued education of Janeway Staff and the research and programs directly related our children’s health and welfare.

You can make a donation by calling the Foundation office at 709-777-4640, by sending a cheque or money order to the Foundation office or through our secure online donation page. We accept VISA and MasterCard only.

Who should I make my cheque or money order payable to?

Please make all donation cheques or money orders payable to the “Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation” or the “Janeway Foundation”.

Will I receive a tax receipt when I make a donation?

Tax receipts are automatically issued for donations of $10 or more. Your full name and complete mailing address, including Postal Code is required.

About The Janeway Hospital

The Janeway Children’s Health & Rehabilitation Centre provides excellence in specialized health IMG_5768.jpgcare in a compassionate, supportive environment, to our province's sick and injured children. Each child cared for at the Janeway inspires us with their courage and determination to be well. It is this determination that drives our staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for these children, constantly exploring and researching new treatments and health care regimens, maximizing every available resource.

The 670 nurses, technicians and support staff and 110 physicians, within the Janeway Children’s and Women’s Health Program, provide primary, secondary and tertiary care services, on both an inpatient and ambulatory basis, for children from infancy to 18 years of age.  As well, a full range of maternal services are provided in obstetrics and gynecology.

The Mental Health and Addictions Program operates services located in the Janeway Hospital as well as the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry Service.

The Janeway, in affiliation with Memorial University, serves as a primary clinical resource for pediatric and obstetric teaching and research. Through a broad range of health professions in medicine, nursing and related health services, the hospital and university work together – training the health care providers of tomorrow.
